Virginia Beach Award Program Honors SIS’ Achievements
Virginia Beach, VA – September 6, 2017 – SynchroNet Intermodal Services, Inc. (SIS) (www.synchronet.co) has been selected for the 2017 Best of Virginia Beach Award in Transportation by the Virginia Beach Award Program. SIS’ real-time container logistics network automates the matching of container supply / demand via its R2R™ flexible, neutral stack-train, ramp-to-ramp service. SIS also provides match-back capabilities through its North American Domestic Interchange Service™ (NADIS™) and international street-turn services.
SIS’ R2R is a web-based, real-time application, which offers equipment availability / inventory visibility, quotes and rates, equipment booking, rail billing, shipment tracking and street-turns for 20’, 40’ and 45’ ISO containers. The service handles standard shipments as well as hazmat and restricted commodities subject to the railroad’s guidelines and approval. SIS targets wholesale intermodal customers such as Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs), brokers, third party logistics companies (3PLs), shipping lines along with traders and leasing companies.
