KALATA JOINS SYNCHRONET INTERMODAL SERVICES, INC. (SIS) AS DIRECTOR OF SALES, NORTH AMERICA
Kalata To Drive Sales of R2R™ While Expanding Customer Base and Service Offering
Virginia Beach, VA – December 04, 2019 – SynchroNet Intermodal Services, Inc. (SIS) (www.synchronet.co) today announced David A. Kalata is the Director of Sales, North America for the organization. In his role, Dave will develop and secure business from IMC, shipping line and third-party customers based in North America to support SIS’ R2R™ (stack-train ramp-to-ramp) service and North American Domestic Interchange Service (NADIS™). These services present opportunities to efficiently and quickly find ISO equipment, secure logistical ramp-to-ramp rail transit in an automated fashion and reduce empty rail repositioning expenses for suppliers in continental North America. Additionally, he will focus on strengthening and building soon-to-be-launched new services for SIS and its new customer base.

Dave Kalata is a driven logistics executive with solid hands-on management experience and is knowledgeable across multiple disciplines. Dave’s most recent position was with Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) as the Director, Ocean Carrier Relations and Trade Development and prior to that, Director, National Container Accounts. He has held management and executive management roles with the Florida East Coast Railway and Hyundai Merchant Marine. Dave began his career with Lykes Lines holding commercial and management position with Lykes as well as Sea-Land and GENEX. During his 17 years with Hyundai Merchant Marine, Dave was Midwest Regional Manager in Chicago before moving to Dallas to assume trade management roles; Vice President Trans-Pacific Westbound and Vice President, Trans-Atlantic and South America. He is a graduate of Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, with a B.S. in Business Administration, Logistics/Transportation.
