Virginia Beach, VA – April 4, 2017 – SynchroNet Intermodal Services, Inc. (SIS) (www.synchronet.co) announced its newly named ramp-to-ramp service, R2R™, has expanded to include new service lanes as well as provide its customer with more equipment options for their ramp needs. SIS works with the top six rail providers in continental North America and has partnerships with multiple steamship lines, traders and leasing companies, to deliver a consistent supply of ISO equipment. SIS targets include wholesale intermodal customers such as Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs), brokers, third party logistics companies (3PLs), shipping lines along with traders and leasing companies.
R2R is a web-based, real-time application, which offers equipment availability / inventory visibility, quotes and rates, equipment booking, rail billing, shipment tracking and street-turns for 20’, 40’ and 45’ ISO containers. This flexible, neutral stack-train, ramp-to-ramp service also handles hazmat and restricted commodities subject to the railroad’s guidelines and approval.
“R2R is a stronger and better service than our original ramp-to-ramp offering. We have upgraded our technology and streamlined our focus solely to maximize outstanding service and support to meet our customers’ requirements,” said Bob Baker, president and CEO of SynchroNet. “As a neutral service provider, we have a greater selection of both equipment and rail capacity. For companies who haven’t used our R2R service recently, we invite you to look at our improved service options to support your needs.”
